SAMSUNG GALAXY S8
Galaxy S8 are two high-end phablette-type Android smartphones produced by Samsung Electronics1,2.
The presentation of smartphones was made on March 29, 2017 in New York, one month after the Mobile World Congress due to additional tests following the explosions that affected the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 in 2016. The presentation was also broadcast live on the Internet and on the downloadable mobile app on the Samsung Galaxy Apps Store3,4. Available for pre-order the same day at 17:05, both devices are marketed on April 21, 20176.
The S7 is 2560 pixels wide and the S8 has 2960 pixels.
The Galaxy S8, S8 +, are marked by the replacement of the home button, by capacitive touch keys integrated directly on the screen and which are interchangeable. We find this, some Android manufacturers and alternative ROMs like LineageOS.

The capacity of the battery is 3000 mAh for the Samsung Galaxy S8 and 3500 mAh for the S8 + 9 version.
The screens have a size of 5.8 "(14.7 cm diagonal) for the S8 and 6.2" (15.7 cm) for the S8 + 10.
The size of the S8 smartphone is equivalent to that of the S7 Edge and is close to that of the S6 Edge + for the S8 +.
In terms of applications, the device hosts a new virtual assistant named Bixby10, created by the creators of Siri and the operating system Android 7.0 Nougat11. Nevertheless, it will not be available at launch12.
It also includes a 12-megapixel camera on the back and another 8-megapixel on the front10.
The fingerprint sensor is located at the back while the biometric and iris sensor is at the front.
The price is 809 euros for the Galaxy S8 and 909 euros for the Galaxy S8 + 9.13.
In addition, both versions are equipped with a 4 GB RAM, except in China and South Korea where the capacity goes up to 6 GB8 for the S8 + 14. Storage is available in 64 and 128 GB8 versions with an extension of up to 256 GB using the microSD15 external port.
Both variants have curved screens16.
The device also takes into account Bluetooth 5.0 technology and Dual Audio17.
In addition, the DeX accessory makes it possible to use the smartphone as a computer18.
The S8 + has the same type of battery as the Samsung Galaxy Note 719.
Seven colors20 are available at launch: carbon black, polar silver, orchid (purple) 9, white and turquoise13, gold and coral blue6. An eighth color, pink, is released in October 201721.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 also comes with a pair of Harman AKG earphones, valued at $ 10022.
Microsoft has announced the release of a version of these two smartphones including home applications like Cortana, in addition to Bixby23.
