SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB
Galaxy Tabs are the names given by Samsung to designate their tablets. This name was used for the first time at IFA 2010 during the presentation of the Galaxy Tab (reference GT-P1000) 1,2. A second Galaxy Tab, the 10.1, was announced in Barcelona in February 2011 followed by 8.9, 7.7 and Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 in May 2012.
These tablets have subsequently been available in different ranges such as Galaxy Tab S, and Galaxy Tab A.
Samsung has also marketed other tablets, such as Galaxy View and Galaxy Book, but these are not part of the Galaxy Tab range.
Two months after its release, the Samsung Galaxy Tab is sold more than 600,000 copies3.
Originally, the tablet was delivered Android 2.2 FroYo but thanks to an update, it has subsequently Android 2.3 Gingerbread
Version 10.1 was announced in February 2011. It features Android 3.1 Honeycomb (10.1) and ARM Cortex-A9 processor dual-core 1 GHz ARM with 1 GB of RAM5. It is distributed from June 2011.
Version 7.0 Plus and 7.7 are announced at the end of 2011. They also have Android Honeycomb, but an ARM Cortex-A9 Samsung Exynos dual-core processor, respectively at 1.2 GHz and 1.4 GHz. 7.7 also features a Super AMOLED Plus display. Both models are available in Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + 3G.
Monday, February 28, 2012 is announced at the MWC Barcelona, a new tablet version named Galaxy Note 10.1, using the principles of the Galaxy Note with its stylus S Pen capturing pressure levels, but a screen 10.1 "6.
