Samsung Galaxy is a brand of Samsung Electronics selling consumer electronics products. Today, it is the most famous brand of the Samsung Group and is also often called by mistake or simplification "Samsung". This brand is best known for its smartphones and tablets, and more recently for its connected objects such as watches or wireless headphones.

Created in 2009 for the release of the phone of the same name, the brand has now diversified and has allowed Samsung to position itself at the top of the smartphone market since 20111, the second largest tablet market2, and in second place in the connected watches market since 20193.

In 2015, after a significant drop in profit, the manufacturer removes 30% of its range by changing the nomenclature of its devices. The low-end devices are mainly found in the J series (discontinued in 2019), mid-range mainly under the A-series, and the high-end under Note and S series. Currently, only the Galaxy and Z ranges are set on sale and maintained by Samsung. The Galaxy range refers to all Samsung smartphones running Android, so that the Z range refers to all Samsung devices running Tizen, another open source operating system, mainly used in TVs and smart watches from Samsung.
