SAMSUNG GALAXY S9 PUS
Galaxy S9 + are two high-end phablette-type Android smartphones produced by Samsung Electronics1.
The presentation of smartphones was made on February 25, 2018, at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2. The presentation was also broadcast live on the Internet and on the downloadable mobile application on the Samsung Galaxy Apps Store. Available pre-order the same day, both devices will be marketed on March 16, 2018.
The Samsung Galaxy S9 takes up the outline and many features of its predecessor the Samsung Galaxy S83.
The phone uses two types of SOC chips depending on the geographical area: a Samsung Exynos 9810 chip for Europe and Asia and a Snapdragon 845 SOC for America and China4. The same goes for the graphics processor: an ARM Mali G72 MP18 for the "world" zone and an Adreno 630 for the United States and China5.
The capacity of the battery, identical to that of the previous models, is 3000 mAh for the Samsung Galaxy S9 and 3500 mAh for the S9 + 6 version.
The screens have a size of 5.8 inches (14.7 cm diagonal) for the S9 and 6.2 inches (15.7 cm diagonal) for the S9 +.
While the S9 is equipped with a single sensor, the S9 + version is equipped with a dual sensor7, but the sensor is now double-adjustable for the S9, while for the S9 +, it is the first that is equipped with this double opening8.
The size of the S9 is equivalent to that of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and is close to that of the Samsung Galaxy S8 + for the S9 +.
With regard to applications, the device hosts the Android 9 Pie operating system with a One UI overlay (formerly Samsung Experience).
The fingerprint sensor is located at the rear, but lower than that of the S8, which was to the right of the camera sensor8 while the enhanced biometric and iris sensor is at the front8.
At its release these two smartphones are announced at a price of 859 euros for the Galaxy S9 and 959 euros for the Galaxy S9 + 9.
In addition, both versions are provided with a 4 GB RAM, the S9 which is also available in version 6 Go10. For storage capacity, the S9 is available in 64 GB version, while the latter is officially expandable up to 400 GB, against 2 TB for previous models11,12.
The device also takes into account Bluetooth 5.0 technology and Dual Audio.
The screen of the S9 + occupies 90% of the surface, against 84% for the S8 + 13.
In addition, the DeX accessory has been improved14.
Also, the device also includes emoji similar to animoji iPhone X8.
The unit is also equipped with stereo speakers8, signed AKG15.
For the first time in France, the device is offered in SIM16 double version.
The smartphone is available in seven colors: Midnight Black, Arctic Silver, Orchid Gray, Lilac Purple, Coral Blue, Pink Pink and Maple Gold17.
